Roxane Pajoul was born in the Champagne region of France and grew up near Paris. She loves teaching, learning and travelling. Her father is from Martinique and she makes sure to go there every few years to visit her family and discover more about this magical place that also feeds her academic research in Caribbean literature.
Roxane studied at the University of Paris VII where she received her B.A. in Anglophone studies and an M.A. in American History before she came to the United States. She had an amazing time as an exchange student in Minneapolis, MN, and then moved to Nashville to continue her studies. Roxane recently graduated with her Ph.D. in French from Vanderbilt University. She is currently teaching at Tennessee State University.
