The Alliance Française de Nashville offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level classes at its convenient Green Hills location.
FRENCH CLASSES
When:
The Spring session begins Monday, April 10, 2017. Classes will meet on the same day or evening each semester.
French for Beginners:
Monday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 10 through June 12.
French for Advanced Beginners:
Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 12 through June 14.
This class is for students with some previous French, not for absolute beginners.
Intermediate French:
Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 13 through June 15.
This class, conducted mainly in French, is for students who have a basic knowledge of the French language.
Advanced Intermediate French:
Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 11 10 through June 13.
This course in conversational French and conversation will be an integral part of every class.

Our goal is to help the student become more fluent in the spoken language and have sufficient knowledge of grammar to carry on a conversation which is interesting and grammatically correct enough to be understood.

The student will be given a variety of subjects to prepare for conversation. His fluency will be expanded as he realizes that he must choose the words and expressions which best convey what he wants to say.
And he will quickly learn that if he makes too many grammatical errors, he may not be understood at all !
